The Day the Earth Stood Still

First of I would like to start of by :screaming:: THIS MOVIE HAD NO POINT TO IT!!!

I am sorry Mr. Reeves but you can do better than that and I am sure you can. You are a good actor and you're so good in front of the big screen but to honestly say I liked you more years ago-during "Speed" in '94 , and "The Matrix" season. You've got to be better....come on!!

I was all excited to go see "The Day the Earth Stood Still" because Mr. Reeves was the main character and talented Ms. Connelly and Ms. Bates. But it was such a dissapointment. The beginning of the movie started out bad and I expected the middle or a decent ending at least-NO!

Basically what everyone knows is that a spaceship lands on Earth, a passenger named Klaatu (Keanu) steps out and is shot, and then a big metal man named Gort walks out and has rays shooting from its eyes, and the Army opens fire.

The reason why he came to the earth was to bring his message: Every has been fighting for years and killing one another, and now it's time to realized how the world is being damaged by mankind and how they would be exterminated.

...ok Klatu came to gives us his message..meanwhile we have Jennifer Connelly plays Helen Benson, a Harvard scientist who is summoned by the government to advise on the glowing sphere in Central Park. She has to leave behind her beloved little Jacob (Jaden Smith), her late husband's son by his first wife (more detail than we require, I think; just "her son" would have been fine). She meets Klaatu, who looks human (and we already know why), but is a representative, or negotiator, or human-looking spokesthing or something, for the aliens.

I am not going to get into deep details about this no point movie-I would compare it to "The Happening" that came out this summer. It had no point..the plot, the meaning to it.
